Welcome to the Spring 2026 HMC Writing Center scheduler! We are located in Shanahan 1470, next door to the Cafe. 

Starting 5/4/26, OUR TUTORS ARE AVAILABLE on an ON-CALL BASIS until 5/14. Please find the schedule in your shared Google Drive with the title "On-Call Schedule for Writing Center, Final Two Weeks, Spring 2026." If you are not a Mudd student and you'd like to meet with a tutor, please email Kyle Thompson at kthompson@hmc.edu. 

Having trouble finding an appointment? Please email the writing center staff at writing-l@g.hmc.edu (from your HMC email) or Kyle Thompson (kthompson@hmc.edu) and we will do our best to set you up with an appointment. There is not a guarantee we have extra availability, but we will try to get you linked up with a tutor—or perhaps with a peer for some peer review! 

Here are some things to know about us:

• All appointments are for 45 minutes--that's 40 minutes for the appointment and 5 minutes for the consultant to take a breath before their next appointment.
• Face-to-face consultations are best. That's a lesson we learned during the Covid remote year. But if you are ill or have other reasons you can't make a face-to-face appointment, email your consultant and they will arrange for an online consultation. You can find their email by clicking on your appointment in the scheduler. But really, face-to-face is best, so unless you're ill or studying abroad, please plan to come to Shanahan 1470. We'll offer you tea!
• If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel as far in advance as you can. You may cancel by clicking on your appointment in the scheduler, scrolling down to the bottom of the new window and clicking "Cancel Appointment."
